Conference Call with Phoebe Home Staff re Dad's Care Plan

Just got off phone with staff: Rebecca Shook (social worker), Jill (head nurse for unit), OT, PT, speech therapist, and dietician.

OT/PT: Dad is progressing very slowly; needs 1-2 staff to get him into chair; not walking with walker; may never walk again; requires "hand on hand" instructions to have him do tasks.

Dad has bad days and good days. Not related to drugs. He has told staff about his hobbies, golf and "child of the Internet".

He's on pureed diet with honey-thickened liquid and protein supplements. Trying to move him to soft food, which will lessen his need for oxygen.

I gave them some of his medical and life history: JustBorn, National Licrorice, Wescosville and Philadelphia.

Impressive group. Very nice. Have their act together, unlike NS.

Rebecca said that Tina (NS) would take him back if we paid for 24 hour nursing care. We'll see.
